Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couch surfed with friends and classmates while I was in medical school in the UK. I slept on the couches of various classmates while waiting on my financial aid to come in so that I could get my own place. I've also had friends stay on my couch quite a bit.

Interests

I love the UK and Ireland, history, most types of music (other than country), music, singing, and collecting recipes, British Royal family memorabilia, and working on my blog. I am interested in genetics and their role in sex-chromosome related syndromes, genealogy (tracing my own currently), and more.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music except country and rap. Favorite films are "The Young Victoria", "Pride & Prejudice", "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "Star Trek", "Billy Elliot", "Kinky Boots" to name a few. Favorite books are any by Edward Rutherford, The Clan of the Cave Bear series, any by James Clavell, the Irish Country Doctor series, and non-fiction relating to Neanderthals, cooking, genetics, British/Irish/Scottish history, and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave up all of my possessions after my youngest went to college and am now traveling where ever and when ever I want.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my language, Southern US culture, and the views of an older, but not necessarily wiser person.
