My name is Katie, and I'm a writer, blogger, poet, photographer, singer and songwriter. I'm 41.9% Scandinavian, and most people think I'm too wyrd. Someone once said, very kindly, that I'm like a 'black metal Hedi.' Despite being a writer, I find writing 'About Me' things RIDICULOUSLY difficult.

I'm a northern enthusiast. Every waking, breathing moment revolves around the north. In particular, the Nordic Regions and the Arctic. The work I do is predominately devoted to these places. I've lived in Norway, Sweden and Canada and am trying to go back to Norway and settle there. My life is also heavily guided by the dark and the wonderfully strange things we find there.

Nature, as well as the dark, guides me. When amid nature, I feel my best and most authentic self.
