About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Never Settle!

ABOUT ME

I love people and being social. Meeting people and building relationships is essential to my life. I'm a big fan of doing new things. Family and friends are the spice of my life! Travelling is my absolute favorite thing to do. I like to learn, and I love Geology and Harry Potter. (NERD ALERT)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am leaving for Europe on June 14th, so I cannot take any CSers after June 10th. I want to use CS to meet new people, and to become completely immersed in a culture. Sure, I could stay at hotels or hostels the whole time I'm there, but then I wouldn't meet any CSers! I'm going to be alone, so I like that I can meet people before I go. I think meeting people from different countries is the best way to understand the world, and to avoid ethnocentrism.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everyone I've hosted has been great! I thought it would be a hassle at first, but I've learned that most of the people in the CS community are generally laid back and quite adaptable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I snowboarded down Rendezvouz Peak (10,451 ft) at Jackson Hole Ski Area in Jackson, Wyoming with 0% visibility, 53 MPH winds, and a wind chill factor of -43F. Crazy. Stupid even.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are afraid of people, and aren't willing to open up, couchsurfing may not be for you. I think that couchsurfing could help you break out of your shell, but you will have to work at it. I honestly don't know how to act around someone who is so shy they can't carry a conversation, and that becomes VERY uncomfortable when they are sleeping in my home.. lol

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Germany, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
