I'm Katie, an adventurous teacher from the UK.

I love meeting new people and exploring the places that I visit. In my experience, the people make the place, so couchsurfing is perfect! It really allows you to get a feel for the place, meet people, share stories and have a great time!

My boyfriend, Alvaro and I are currently on a cycle touring trip from London to Helsinki and are stopping every-so-often along the way so we can meet people and spend some time exploring. (It's also great to have a shower every-so-often, if not for ourselves, for the sake of humanity!)

We both love cycling, meeting new people and sharing stories and experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live travelling and adventure and I think the best way to get to know a place is through its people so what better way to learn about a place. For me, it's authentic experiences that make the adventure. The people make the place. Everything is more fun when you have people to share experiences with.
(It would also be good to learn of local language from a local rather than google translate)
