I am much laughing, passionate salsa dancing, nature and animal loving, adventurous and music loving person. After some great months of getting to know a really different culture at my exchange semester in Indonesia, I am just realizing how much I am actually in love with my hometown Berlin and actually just starting to really discover it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that if you stay at someones home it is a much more memorable experience. Its so different when I know a local, I can see the place in another light and get to know so much more about life there. Also there is always knowledge a travel guide can not tell me but only a person who lives there.
Furthermore since I study architecture I am really interested in "homes". What home means to other people, how a place they feel home may look like. I think couchsurfing is a unique possibility to see those places and I feel like I can learn a lot from it! A knowledge university can not give me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I took a very long bus trip to an island in Indonesia with barely tourists. My Indonesian was about five words and the English of the other people in the bus with was me was also about five words. Anyway, I think when I arrived, everyone knew where I was planing to go, gave me advice, told me where to get off the Bus, wrote me down the most important phrases I would probably need, drawing maps and actually planing my next week better than I could have ever done, made me try the real local food and gave me the absolutely best tips! Thanks for that : )
