CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is mindfulness, patience and adventure. I spend a lot of time slowing down to smell the roses and stand in the sun. I want to grow and be open to people and the world. I also want to figure out what my next step might involve after traveling.

ABOUT ME

I am a learner in many ways and I like nature and plants and animals very much. New experiences are my favorite thing, rivaled only by rich routines and rituals- they both are beautiful in their own way right??. I love to be with people and to explore the world. There is a lot to say about me, but the most important things are mindfulness and kindness and an open heart above all.
PHILOSOPHY

I think that we are all linked in some way or another, but it is our differences rather than our similarities that make for the best connections and the most dynamic friendships. We all seek connections and to be understood. I kind of think it is that simple when you break it down: we want people to receive us and we want to do the same for others! Sometimes that's tricky in the modern world so let's make it happen for each other by being open to meeting and sharing.

I can show you around Chicago, do fun stuff, swap stories and especially share special hidden bits of Chicago since I have lived here my whole life. I love meeting people from all over and exploring Chicago. :)

兴趣

I love to work in the garden, to go out to plays and concerts, to play music and socialize. I love reading and writing and learning about new things both from friends, teachers and books. I also love animals and cooking and being out in nature. I'm also a terrible dancer but it's actually one of my favorite things to do. I enjoy traveling and living in different places. I bike all around the city and I love to have picnics and fly kites at the beach. I talk to people wherever I go and meet new friends wherever I happen to be.

I like indie folk and indie pop, oldies and big band music as well as ragtime piano and honkeytonk piano. I enjoy singer/songwriters and sometimes good rappers and hip hop . I like tons of different films, esp. Tim Burton and Wes Anderson and mostly classic literature.

After I first went to college, I realized that I wasn't ready to start that experience yet so I flew to New Zealand and travelled around for 7 months, all by myself. It was scary but miraculous and I l armed so much about how to live!

I am a great listener and I can share some stories myself. I tend to tidy a bit as I go which might be a good thing for you? I have some crafty skills like knitting crochet, sewing and a little art. I enjoy good food and wine and like to talk about food!
