About Me

Hey everyone,
I have lived in New Zealand the past 6 years - & Oz for 2 years before that.
I am leaving NZ in October - going to travel the states for a couple of months before heading home & deciding where to go from there.
Unfortunately I cannot host anyone in NZ as I live in shared accommodation but when I go home to Ireland I definitely can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is too easy to stay at hotels/hostels & have the same experience no matter where you go.
For my couple of months in the states I would like to have a different experience - see cities & areas from a locals point of view & if I decide to settle in Ireland next year I want to keep the travelling connection & keep meeting new people & this looks like a great way of doing that.

Interests

I love to read...visit & also live in beautiful remote places...red wine...movies...hiking (nothing too crazy, not a huge hiker but have done my fair share of big hikes in NZ)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a wide range of music - my all time favourite is the Chili Peppers. I also love traditional Irish music - 1 of my favourite things to do in life is sit in a cozy pub in the countryside of Ireland, with good beer & great music!
My favourite books to read are science fiction & historical fiction
I like all sorts of movies but science fiction/adventure movies are my favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have visited some really great places & done lots of cool things but the most amazing for me was in Milford Sound, an 18km kayaking trip in the moonlight, through the Fiord & camped on a deserted beach....Milford Sound has been my backyard for the past 6 years with full access to all of Fiordland but that trip was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I don't really have a whole lot to teach/learn to people but I love to hear people's stories, talk about the world, learn about new cultures & share my own Irish culture & heritage

What I Can Share with Hosts

Chats, laughs & red wine! lol

Countries I’ve Visited
