About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Smile, smile, smile

ABOUT ME

I'm Kaylie, I love to travel, I drink tea like a fiend, and I'm pretty nerdy. People are wonderful and interesting, and I love history. With decent cooking skills and a good sense of humor, I love to socialize with close friends and meet new people. Writing is a passion of mine, and one I plan to continue throughout my life. Besides writing, I enjoy exploring new places, reading, listening to music, and playing video games.

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is not a thing that is passive -- it is made and nurtured. Act in life, and invite joy into your day as well as others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Kiki's Delivery Service, The Avengers, My Neighbor Totoro, The Dark Knight, Wreck-it-Ralph, How to Train Your Dragon, Everything is Illuminated, and Arrietty are some of my favorite films. I love rock music, particularly Shinedown, Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Led Zeppelin, and Halestorm. As for books, favorite authors include Holly Black, Philip Pullman, and John Green.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've repelled down a 15th century castle in Italy, competed in a marching band competition (I play the alto sax) in Disney World, and dove into the wonderful world of Comic Con.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching my experiences, my love of writing, and what I've learned is something I'm always willing to share -- plus any weird or interesting history tidbits!

I love learning, especially about history, culture, religion, or language.

Sharing experiences is a great learning tool!
