hello, my name is Kazuya Mashimo. I'm currently a student for master course in Kyoto, Japan and learning graphic design mainly and so much interested in any kinds of creativity. at the time I have lived about for 9 months in Lahti, Finland that is nice city to study my major and preparing my departure here to Japan in the end of this month, May.

as for my personality, I am bright, playful person and as no less shy than nobody from japan hahha joking. but I think I am quite gentle and obedient as well. I love talking with people and sometimes there is just myself talking and no one listening it. yeah it's understandable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

to be honest, I haven't known well about Couchsurfing service so far, which is awesome apparently. but since long ago and especially after I came to Finland as an exchange student, I have gotten more excited to explore something new in different countries and meet new friends. I love meeting new people and feel atomosphere I haven't felt before. it is my property, big adventure and definitely what I need in my life so as to be happy to be in my life.
that's why I am in here.

Interests

basically I'm not the one who can indulge my passion for a peculiar thing, I would rather study and feel wide range of stuffs I am interested in so much.
I have interests in art, graphic, great nature,cafes, design, fashion, dance, people, seeing different worlds and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like hiphop, R&B, house, jazz music.
when I was really small, I used to play electronic piano and mainly jazz musics.
maybe that is one of the reasons why I love improvisations, experimental expressions in graphic, and being bold and optimistic.
I like those movies: imitation game, white house down, high school musical, saw(basically I like horror and nature disaster kinda movies that is astonishing and so impressive graphically or deep meaning, philosophical ones)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day I was at a platform and woman dropped her phone on the rail and she looked a bit upset, and to be quite honest, she was a bit chubby which means OF COURSE she couldn't get down there to pick her phone up, so I decided to rescue her phone by myself even though a train was already coming into our view as rapidly as you can imagine, yes it is the train.
after she could get her phone back, she was so relieved and paid much gratitude and gave a snacks for me. I tried to warn her not to eat those snacks too much so that she might rescue her phone next time lightly would she happen to do same accident, but of course I didn't. yeah it was my brave story.
