I am absolutely in love with life. And I adore and love people. All kinds of people.
I adore and love every species, and all things of creation. I am earnest. I fervently desire to give everything of myself. and add, if even a minutely microscopic amount, to the sum-total-of-human-happiness.
I never feel ambivalent about anything.
People have often told me that I am a poet and dreamer. My head is often floating high up in the clouds, but my feet stay firmly rooted to the earth.
Inspiration is sought everywhere, of which I hope to distill into what I create -
People, their lives, their stories, their experiences, are fascinating to me. The Human Condition, and our experience in this world is of constant intrigue.
My life is compelled by a creative compulsion (some would say obsession :) - which drives my daily existence, and a seemingly boundless energy that I funnel into a number of daily creative activities-
I have an insatiable Wanderlust, an unquenchable thirst and passion to discover and experience the World- which often gets me in trouble with my friends and family, but never the less makes me feel that I am living my life in fullness-
As a deeply intimate deep thinking type person- Ever, I am Striving to balance the fancy that is bred in both the heart and the head - and am occupied with the full time job of keeping both in line ;P
Seeking to travel the road of life, for however long our paths would intersect or run parallel, with any and all who would enter with an open, respectful mind and who conspire, in willingness, to consider the extremity of possibility-
I don't subscribe to any particular religion, I have a spiritual discipline that I am very interested in and earnest about, and adapt when it becomes necessary in the pursuit of a greater Truth.
I practice Yoga on a weekly basis. Meditation twice a day, I read many books on philosophy and religion.
My holy books are:
-Emily Dickinson's Collected Poetry
-Walden by Thoreau
-The Notebook of Elbert Hubbard
-The Complete Essays of Emerson
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My family has a vacation house in Molson, Washington . Our primary residence is a 5 generation Dairy Farm in Custer Washington (north of Bellingham) - One of the best preserved Ghost towns of the American West.
I have more or less been responsible for the house, the house has historical been used only in the summer months for 2 - 4 weeks a year and sits empty the rest of the year.
I'm currently living here mostly full time as I get deeper into the project of the home's restoration, taking care for of things for my family's estate, and decompressing from 5 years on the Coast
Molson is in the Interior of Washington State - In Okanogan County an extraordinary place of great natural beauty, and salt of the earth kindred spirits.
I have lived in my family's house off and on over the years - it is a 2 bedroom house with all the amenities, kitchen, shower, washer and dryer, living room, internet - etc.
There is a guest bedroom that I hardly use, and I am anxious to be able to share the house that my great grampa built and make new friends - bring new people to enjoy the wonder and originality of The Okanogan Highlands, Oroville and Molson ---
I am able to accomodate 1-5 people for up to 2 weeks. I will provide food and shelter. etc.
*Disclaimer* - this isn't exactly roughing it, but I am in the process of restoring my family's house which is built after WWII - so it is a bit of a project place. it is not a perfect house. but it is cozy, has an amazing view of Molson and Sidley lakes, has all the fixins and it is overflowing with love, coziness, and good conversation and eats --- you are really doing me a favor by visiting, as I like to give of myself and share --- it is part of my nature.
Molson is a good place to rest, regroup, and explore the natural areas , backroads, and history that is right near the surface. There are also many cheap and free campgrounds nearby, about a half dozen within 1o miles of my house. and lodging down in the Valley in Oroville up the Wahzzooo ---
If you have an open mind, and are willing to accept things that are perfect by their imperfection, and the fact that my house is being restored, but is still perfectly habitable - then this is a place for you to visit.
what am I not interested in? it is easier to write a list of these things

I am currently wading through GEB (Golden Eternal Braid) which is a sort of theory of everything filtered through alice-in-wonderland logic.
I tend to follow the rabbit trail bibliographies in order to reach farther and farther back into the roots of ideas-
umm, what else have I read Lately: Flatland, A Devil in the White City, The Little Prince...

I am the founder and proprietor two Companies -
A landscape design and contracting company,
and an Ecommerce storefront for Art, Antiques, Oddities, and Crafts ---
after 1o years of building these companies on no-budget, they have really taken wing --- I am fascinated by Social Entrepreneurialism - vision vs. profit based companies, loosely associated grouping of citizens gathered together for civic improvement --- I'm definitely a thinker and a doer and I tend to gravitate towards people of the same sort of persuasion --
I have many practical skills to offer, and am always needing help with my companies - whether for volunteer, work-trade, or even paid work ---
