ABOUT ME

I recently received news that my full-time job was being eliminated. As part of the process, I received the biggest blessing of all--time off and money to pursue my life-long dream of being a travel writer/photographer. I plan to spend the summer and fall working on my craft, traveling the globe and meeting as many people as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

The more you travel, the more you realize we are all connected. Be open to meeting people who are different from you and you'll see that our similarities far outweigh our differences. There is no room in this world for hate. Spread joy, not hate.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Brand-new to the community but anxious to meet folks and get involved. Would be open to hosting an event in the Kansas City area if there are any other CouchSurfers out there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the Counting Crows and will frequently travel to see them. I also love the "Shrek" movies. And I read constantly so trying to pick a favorite would be hard. Currently reading "Suite Francaise" and loving it.

Ran a marathon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach photography and writing. I would be willing to help someone practice their conversational English. I'd like to learn Spanish and Italian well enough to to hold a conversation longer than 2 minutes!
