Eu falo ca um pouco de portugues. Eu sou americano, de Tucson, AZ. I am learning more Portuguese quickly, but I will continue in English. I am a musician and songwriter. I love Brazilian music, although I realize that is a huge generalization. Also love natural landscapes, studying nature and ecology. 63 years old, physically fit, single.

I'm wondering what to write. Words are approximations of ideas, which are imprecise models of reality. There are few absolute truths. Aren't you glad you asked?

I have surfed one couch to date, in Wyoming, where I knew no-one in the state, and enjoyed the social connection; Excited by future possibilities as host, guest, and event participant.

playing guitar, songwriting, studying nature, ecology, physical fitness, coffee house culture. human physiology (especially the nervous system), learning other languages.

I'd like to note that the languages section above only provides two options: fluent or learning. To clarify, I have studied French, Russian, and Spanish in the past. Currently studying Portuguese. I made it through Brazil twice with my Portuguese, and gradually becoming more fluent.

Most recently read "Unconquered" by Scott Walker. Fascinating, eye-opening account of experiences among indigenous peoples in the most remote reaches of Amazonia, circa 2005.

I enjoy biographies and real-life accounts. Reality is so grand, or can be. I wonder what the world would be like without fiction?
