Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I decided to join the Couchsurfing community after one of my coworkers told me about his road trip across the United States and about his experiences with Couchsurfing during this trip. He said that it was one of the best experiences of his life, that he's never met such an amazing eclectic group of people, and that he couldn't think of a better way to travel. Since then, I've made plans to go on a three week Europe trip in May and June of 2014, and I would love to meet some of the locals through Couchsurfing. Since I'm in college and live in a dorm, I'm unable to host couch surfers for the majority of the year.

Music, Movies, and Books

I loveeeee documentaries. I became interested in documentaries when I started attending the Sundance Film Festival every year in Utah. Ever since then I've been hooked! I also enjoy the occasional chick flick, comedy, and thriller.
My favorite books to date are: The Harry Potter series, The Book Thief, The Shadow of the Wind, and The Hunger Games Series.
I'm very easy to please when it comes to music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make the best caramel oat bar dessert (the best I've ever tasted at least) and how to make preserved lemons. I can also teach you the basics of knitting, henna art, sailing, and neuroscience.
I would love to learn how to ballroom dance, how to cook a few foreign vegetarian food dishes, to improve my French speaking skills, and of course to learn about the places that I travel to by meeting people through Couchsurfing.
