ABOUT ME

Hey everyone!! My name is Kelsey and I am a 20 year old student at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, but I am originally from Boulder, Colorado. I am a double major in International Business and German so it is pretty obvious that I love to travel! I have been to many countries to study, for pleasure, for community service, and just to mess around and have a bit of fun along the way. I am super outgoing, friendly, and I can get along with just about anyone. I believe that every stranger is a friend I just haven't met yet, so needless to say, I love to meet new people. Get to know me! :)

PHILOSOPHY

The three things I value in life are Love, Strength, and finding an adventure. I value not just love of others like my family and friends, but love of myself and spreading love where ever and to whom ever I can. I value strength in knowing that i can overcome anything and I will ultimately become a better person because of it. Lastly, I value finding an adventure and learning from that adventure. You could probably tack on "having fun" to that list as well. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not used CouchSurfing before, but I spent 6 months traveling abroad doing community service and I lived with 25 families in 25 different cities so I would call that couch surfing!

Interests

I love to travel, meet new people, socialize, sing, play piano, play the guitar, snowboard, learn how to sing happy birthday in different languages, look up travel deals abroad, plan my dream trips, shop, smile, laugh, karaoke, take pictures, ride the subway, get lost, and many others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies and books. specifically Harry potter, Lord of the Rings, anything that can make me laugh or cry. I love all different types of music, from techno to classical, to country and everything else in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a program called Up With People where i traveled for 6 months with 80 people from 22 different countries to 25 different cities. We spent about a week in each city, did community service, lived in host families, and then performed a musical show promoting cultural understanding. We went to the south west united states, mexico, sweden, finland, poland, germany, and denmark. In Poland I even got to live in an orphanage for a week with 20 2-4 year old polish orphans! It was incredible
