ABOUT ME

American girl on exchange for one year in Belgium.

I'd never been out of the country before I came on exchange last August, and I am trying to take advantage of being here to see as many places, meet as many people, and have as many amazing experiences as possible.

I'm living with a family in Belgium, so unfortunately I can't host anyone right now, but when I go home in July '09, there will be a couch in Austin, TX available from me for suuuure.

As a poor exchange student, couch surfing is the most convenient way for me to find a place to stay on my travels. So I hope that even though I can't host at the moment, people will be kind enough to take me (and probably a couple of my friends too) into their homes for a night or two.

And I make a mean chocolate cream pie, so if you are cool with me cooking, I'll make you one as a gift of thanks. :]

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Muppet Treasure Island.
Music: Nearly everything, but Jason Mraz is my favorite.
Books: Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, The Phantom Tollbooth, and The Shadow of the Wind are just a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the whole exchange program is an amazing thing. People opening up their homes to allow a stranger to live with them and learn their culture and language... it's a great thing. I wish that everyone had the desire and opportunity to go on exchange. The world would be a better place.
