my mission is to be love peace and harmony
My best friends would say that I am very funny and very creative, that I lovelovelove to dance and cook, that I am warm, peaceful and passionate, that I am sensitive to other people's feelings and that in a tight situation my first instinct is to take a deep breath and pray.
all we need is love
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am taking an educational trip to Maui, HI (my first trip to the region) and hope to be hosted by some wonderful people. I travel a lot to places where I have family or friends but if I have a good experience in Maui I would love to surf again to a new place and of course host some surfers at my home sometime too!
I am looking forward to seeing what surfing holds for me :)
I'm a theater artist and student of the the world so I'm usually engaged in some sort of arts activity: singing crafting sewing dancing painting writing etc. I'm also fond of hanging out with my turtle friend Jovi who I have had for 10 years &I really love people so talking joking and story-swaping with family and friends are on top of my favorite things to do.

Music, Movies, and Books
Eddie Murphy's "Coming to America" is one of my all-time favorite flicks "Zoolander" and "The Matrix" and are also on the list. I breathe music! All around music lover, especially of anything that I can experience live. the most significant books I have read are Paulo Freire's pedagogy of the oppressed and augusto boal's theater of the oppressed series
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once when traveling alone to the Commonwealth of Dominica (where my family is from) I had a long stop over in Barbados and decided to venture out onto the island alone: I met so many kind and kindred spirits including one that brought me to feed giant sea turtles out in the Caribbean Sea!
One night, on a volunteer trip to South Africa, a local choir was invited to commune with our mentoring group: we sang and danced with the choir around a HUGE boma or bon-fire. We sang in songs in Swahili in a call and response form: my soul was elevated in those moments! I'll never forget the depth of history and appreciation of cultural richness I felt that night.
