ABOUT ME

I don't particularly enjoy writing things like this because I find it quite difficult to articulate let alone understand myself who or what it is that I am. But I guess you all want to get an idea about me, and from these statements alone I'm sure you can already get a glimpse into just what kind of person I am.

I guess we could start from the basics: I am a human. I have needs and emotions, passions and loves like everyone else does, and have had very diverse experiences which have shaped my consciousness and personality in profound ways.

I laugh a lot. I'm a little introverted but I do enjoy having really memorable, in-depth conversations! I'm a good listener. I love to smile and quite often even sing and dance, given the right conditions. I'm very inquisitive and curious about the world around me and would like to learn and see more. I suppose this is what feeds my desire to travel, as well as my interest in languages and humanities.

So yeah, that's me :).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I am yet to have couchsurfed through anyone on this website, I have crashed on friends' sofas and beds plenty of times before, so it isn't a completely new experience to me in that sense. It's always been fun, really.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Airplane, Amelie, An Education, Kill Bill, a whole bunch of stuff.

Music: Eclectic, I guess. I like a whole bunch of things. It depends on my mood. Usually I prefer uptempo things that either give me positive vibes or contort my brain into such shapes that my geist is seized and pulled into a different world. I do enjoy film soundtracks as well.

Books: A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Reader, Of Mice and Men. My nose is usually stuck in non-fiction literature a lot of the time, but I really wish I had more time to read more fiction.

Notice how small and insignificant the Earth is?

Consider also how one day the Sun, being a star, is going to explode and destroy everything in its wake, including the Earth (if humans themselves don't destroy it first). We are all going to die one day. Everything that we devote our energy and passion to and every arbitrary social convention that we spend so much time stressing over is ultimately of no significance at all because all of that, too, will be blown to smithereens.

Just enjoy life because you only get one shot at it. Live for the moment. Live for yourself.
