I am currently teaching English in Hungary. I love teaching and hope to continue living in Hungary for awhile.

ABOUT ME

I am obsessed with history. I read history books all the time. I love to travel and learn about different places in the world. I have lived in South Korea for a year teaching English and 3 months in Russia studying Russian. I really enjoy learning other languages, though I am never the best speaker (I don't have an ear for it), but I try really hard. I am learning Hungarian now, and have learned that Russian is much easier compared to Hungarian. Right now, I am working as an English teacher in Hungary. I love working with children, even though they drive you boinker sometimes.

PHILOSOPHY

Go with the flow. Not everything has to be planned. Little happenstances are the most interesting in life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just recently joined the CS project. I would love to meet other people from around the world and learn about their culture and history.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed my friends' couches numerous times, in numerous places. I really enjoyed just being with my friends and meeting new people. I really liked learning about the different environments I was staying in.

I love reading, surfing the internet, traveling, learning new languages, trying new food, and visiting historical sites. There are so many things I enjoy that it is hard to list them all, so I will list what I am not interested in: driving (I hate it), television (there is nothing good on anymore), movies (I am not a big movie fan), and bed bugs (I thought this would be funny!)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I am really into Lady Gaga right now. But I love opera and Britney Spears, Jay-Z, and anything else that just makes me happy.

In the category of books, well, I read a lot. I like history books, classicals, and scifi. I will read anything at least once. I love Ernest Hemingway and Fyodor Dostoevsky.

I really don't go to the movies much, not the biggest fan. But I loved Star Wars and Star Trek, and Jaws. I like old movies also.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The most amazing thing I have ever seen is my mom traveling the first time aboard to come and see me in South Korea. She had never left the North American continent and she came across the ocean to see me. I was so proud of her, and she will be visiting my in Hungary, too.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I love to cook, and try cooking regional dishes. I think I would be able to teach someone that skill, possibly! I would also be able to tell them the history of the place I am living.
