I'm a pretty simple man and my greatest passion in life boils down to learning. In my opinion, the best sources for learning new and interesting things is to constantly meet new and interesting people.

As for my mission, it concerns a very lovely place called Honduras. It is where both my parents were born, and where some of my best childhood memories stem from. Recently, my parents used up every penny from their savings and bought a beautiful piece of land in their home country. In fact, it's located in the very same village where my Mom, Grandma, and endless ancestors were born. This village, called "Guacamayas" holds a sacred place in my heart for it is a community filled with humble, hospitable, and hard working farmers. It's my eventual goal in life to make the best use of our land and make it a place that both welcomes foreigners and strengthens the local community. Since we bought the land, I've begun working and volunteering on organic farms, homesteads, and things of that nature to slowly expand my knowledge in sustainable living, something I truly hope to bring to not only our land in Honduras, but as much of the third world as I possibly can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently backpacking across the US while WWOOFing (volunteering on organic farms) and learning everything I can about sustainable agriculture. Along the way, I'm stopping in through different cities and towns to hang with and learn from the locals, and because I am traveling on foot, I feel that Couchsurfing will be a lifesaver for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I honestly love consuming anything that's in a foreign language, especially if it's the one I'm currently studying. Right now, I'm studying Portuguese so I have been indulging in Brazilian music, particularly from the 70's. I have also been reading "As Crônicas de Nárnia" series, which is definitely an awesome read in Português!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Along with my mother, I helped plan and run a small graduation party for an elementary school in a village in rural Honduras. It was the first time that school ever had an event of the sort and the entire village was extremely appreciative. Definitely one of the most gratifying experiences of my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Elbow grease! I always love lending a hand and helping with any chores or projects that need to get accomplished. I also love to teach Spanish to any host whose currently learning or willing to learn.
