teaching, learning, living and traveling
I'm living in a new place with a new roommate who is new to couchsurfing. So, for her sake, I'm currently only accepting people who have filled out profiles and references.
Please DO NOT MESSAGE ME unless you have a profile and are sending a personal request. In the past I would host everyone. But now I get several requests every day so, if you copy\paste your message, I will almost definitely have to say no. Thanks!
My name is Kevin and I'm a student in International Affairs. More than that, I'm a dreamer. I have a passion for traveling and experiencing other cultures. I'm half Iranian but I'm not really in touch with my culture, I regret that. I'm kind of a nerd. I have good intentions, but I don't do as much as I should. I majored in French, which I began studying to impress my French girlfriend when I was 13. We lasted a whole month. I loved her with all my heart. There's so much I want to study, from Persian to Astronomy. Sometimes I wish I could go back to school and stay forever, or that I could always be 20. I have a hell of a lot of plans and hopes for the future and, say, about another 60 years to live them out. I have a big forehead, bushy eyebrows, a skinny body, and a big Persian nose "that doesn't match my curvy lips." I have a habit of starting things and not finishing them.
Don't worry. Be happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host nearly anyone who asks, as long as I'm available. I surf with old people, young people, gay people, straight people, single people, family people, religious people, atheist people, rich people, poor people and all people. It has become a normal part of my travels and lifestyle. I host a book exchange for my guests, so bring books.
I host and surf whenever I can, and organized regular language exchange meetings in Houston
Traveling, reading, learning about other cultures, writing, movies, French, photography.
I'm not athletic but I love sports. I'm not musically talented but I love music. I like watching movies, reading books, and reading newspapers. I like to learn about the world - not just governments and cultures, but individual people as well. I like to read about other countries whenever I hear something new about them. Every once in a while I find a great travel story or two online, constantly read their blogs, and pretend I'm with them.
Music, Movies, and Books
Les Miserables, Count of Monte Cristo, City of God, Shawshank Redemption, Dave Matthews Band
I'm not really picky and like almost everything, but I do listen to some things more than others. If you surf with me, I'd love to hear some of your music recommendations. I'm always interested in hearing new music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Laid out all night on the side of a rocky hill, covered in a pile of clothes, and watched the milky way rise and set over the Elqui Valley in Chile.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn: cooking, photography, languages, how to do a backflip.
I can teach: French, and how to fold a shirt really fast.
