About Me

I'm a really relaxed, easy-going and outgoing person. I'm comfortable in silences but also have lots of energy to tell stories and engage in spontaneous activities. I try to be as open-minded as I can, and not put anything down unless I've tried it. I like traveling (obviously) and really wish I had more time and more resources to do it with. I've met wonderful people from around the world and hope to continue learning about different countries and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and exchange stories and experiences. Get to know the places I visit from locals and people who see it in a different light from those us just passing through.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll give any genre of music/movie/book a try.

My favourite author is George Orwell but I do like to read a lot of different types of books from authors like John le Carre, Stephen King, William Boyd, Chinua Achebe, Ngozi-Chimamanda Adichie.

My tastes in music is broad but I love to dance so if I can move to it I'm happy.

Love all movies by Christopher Nolan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't really say that I've done anything particularly amazing. Oh no...

I went to United World College in Hong Kong which is part of an international school system that focusing on multiculturalism and just basically brings together students from all over the world. It was an amazing learning experience.

Taught children in remote villages of Cambodia and even though I think I got more out of the experience than they did (volunteering is a topic we can discuss in depth) It was a truly impactful experience and I learnt a lot about promoting education and Cambodian culture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love languages and food. So hopefully all new people I meet can teach me some of their native tongue and share some new recipes I can add to my life and I can do the same.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories about my adventures around the world. I can also cook some delicious South African food and share the recipes.

Cambodia, China, Denmark, England, Germany, Israel, Macao, Malaysia, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Netherlands, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Zambia
