About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as possible and meet its diverse inhabitants. And capture them (on camera, that is) for posterity. Not necessarily in that order.

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going guy always looking to explore what this world has to offer. Travelling has always been a fascination to me and I don't believe I've done it enough. I haven't had much experience meeting other travelers but with Couchsurfing I hope that will change soon. Willingness to try is my motto. Can't wait to meet all the interesting people out there.

PHILOSOPHY

So long as we're kind and respectful to each other and to animals, I think we'll do just fine in this world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to be able to show fellow travelers around my own country whenever the timing is right.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not yet, but hoping there'll be a first time when I visit Kyoto at the end of March 2012. Would you help me do that?

Interests

Photography, especially travel, and also the light painting sorts, movies (love it, love it, love it), music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

By far I believe the one amazing thing I never thought I'd be doing is performing light painting out in the Gobi desert of Mongolia. That's one experience that's hard to forget. That, and perhaps watching my fellow travel mate get flung out of a moving taxi in Calcutta and ended up sitting on the tar road in the middle of a busy roundabout in front of Victoria Park. She escaped unscathed, and we had a real good laugh after that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a photography trainer for about 7 years now and am constantly learning. I'd like to think I have a keen eye on photography and are able to share my knowledge and expertise in photography-related area. I'm also heavily addicted to light painting at the moment and have built a solid collection of LP tools, and images to share. With these experiences, when I'm hosting I'll share with fellow couch surfers the best places to shoot great photography in my country. And when I'm travelling, I'll share my skills on photography and travel photography, and knowledge of my country's exciting mix of customs and traditions with my hosts.

Countries I’ve Visited
