CURRENT MISSION

I am currently traveling around the world without a plane with an aim to experience more sustainable forms of transport. I have reached Australia onboard OzBus from London and am due to arrive in Georgia, USA on a Cargo ship this Sept.

ABOUT ME

I am currently on a massive adventure in an effort to get to know myself, the world I live in and people I come accross a little better.

When I grow up I'm going to have a fabulous career involving environmental, social and political issues. I'll probably be writing about it. And I probably won't be grown up.

PHILOSOPHY

I treat those how I wish to be treated myself. And I don't understand why others don't have that same thinking. But we're all different and my inner workings always allow me, eventually, to accept that.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently very new to the community and am learning about it all the time. I hope to meet other CouchSurfers who can tell me more and when I've returned to my home Island of Britania I will hopefully be hosting Surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Currently had no CS experiences but looking forward to a few in the States whilst I'm here.

I'm interested in many things, most of which I'll forget to name here. My main interest at the moment is Permaculture and I've completed a Permaculture Design Certificate just outside Melbourne in Australia.

Permaculture leads into my broader area of interest our environment and how we live in it. I'm convinced we're on a tipping scale that is about to drop at any moment and if we as a web of small communities making up our world are not prepared for change then bad things will happen...

I love the arts - anything creative. The theatre is a real passion for me and I love being part of an audience and a performer on stage. I love music - I play a little piano and sing. I'm just a little novice though and I only sometimes dabble in Open Mic nights.

I love discovering all about the culture of the countries I visit. I'm especially intersted in getting to grips with the inner workings of the USA having studied it as an Under-Graduate.

Any movies that don't feature a twenty something career girl looking for love and wondering why she isn't successful because she hasn't got a boyfriend catch my eye.

On other people's iPods I instantly check what Alanis Morisette they have, then Cheryl Crow, then Foo Fighters, Green Day then I delve into their lesser known artist collection. My own includes many hits from the 80's, 90's and female singer/songwriters yester-year and today.

Books I pick up as I move from country to country. They are trans-genre and usually form some connection to where I am at the time.

I treked the Inca Trail, Peru with a massive backpack when I was 17. It was my introduction to myself and travel and I was so proud of myself when I got back to England for having done it.

I set off on my 'around-the-world-without-a-plane' adventure in 2008 completely on my own. And even though there's been lots of walls and dead ends along the way, I'm not giving up until I've completed what I set out to do. I think that's pretty amazing.

I bungy jumped the 3rd highest in the world in Nepal. And I didn't think much of it so I immidiately did the 2nd highest Canyon Swing after. That was better.

I've seen the equator. I've always wanted to do that.

I've seen Uluru, Australia at sunrise and sunset. That was pretty amazing.

I've seen the Milky Way. Stars are epic.

I'm always looking for Spanish practice and am a qualified TEFL teacher so can teach English to those who need it.

Like exchanging craft skills as I knit and sew a little.
