Overview
About Me
My name is Catherine, but unless you gave birth to me, you can call me Kiki. I grew up just outside of Stockholm, Sweden. When I was 10 years old, my French-Canadian mother & Swedish father decided it was time for a change, and so we moved to the middle of Canada! Since then, I've spent most of my years in Winnipeg, which is just about the coldest place on Earth during the winter months.
I just recently graduated from college as a remedial massage therapist and am now a part of the working world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new to Couchsurfing, but hope to be able to host people some time in the near future! The best part about travelling is meeting people... and what better way to meet people than crashing at a stranger's place? Also, I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to see our world, regardless of how much money is in their wallet. Being involved in a network like Couchsurfing makes it a little easier on us all :)
Interests
I grew up playing hockey and rugby, and love doing anything sports related. I love my beautiful dog Riley, who I'm quite sure is actually a human in an animal body. I like trying new beer and checking out new restaurants. For fun just a simple night out with friends or seeing a concert is enough for me. I enjoy snowboarding when I get the chance to escape the flat prairies of Manitoba. When I can't go to the mountains though, I enjoy cross-country skiing. And maybe I'm getting old, but I've recently found a new appreciation for puzzle making.......

Music, Movies, and Books
My girlfriend recently showed me there is more to life than ABBA. Really, I'll listen to just about anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I finally checked a big one off of my bucket list and learned to surf on the beautiful beaches of the Dominican Republic. Only months later, I made a wrong turn and accidentally almost climbed all of the way up a snowy mountain in the Colorado Rockies.
