Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm Taavi from Tartu, Estonia where I've spent most of my life. After graduating high school, however, I decided to try something different and found myself living in Catania, Sicily where I was a volunteer for a cultural association for 10 months. Currently I'm studying in Venice and will do so for the foreseeable future. I'm interested in travelling more around Italy but not only. My first goals would be to hike around the Dolomites and the rest of Northern Italy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, first and foremost to spend time together with people I would otherwise never meet, peek a bit into their lives and allow them to see into mine. I've understood long ago that a travel is rarely the place itself but rather the people you're surrounded by, the strangers and new friends alike.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess it would be my volunteer experience in Sicily because it gave me the chance to get into contact with refugees, learn another language and travel all around Sicily, Malta and Sardegna. The warm Sicilian summer nights are a thing of magic, even while the days are barren and awful.
