Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find Couchsurfing to be one of the most delightfully subversive platforms/ideas that I've ever come across. It is a mechanism for real-life human beings to come together and connect within a framework that does not rely on the exchange of currency, or any other sort of cultural commodity. I've gained so much from hosting. I've met friends who have become chosen family and gained insights, stories and perspectives from each of my guests.
