ABOUT ME

Easy going and I love having fun. My passion is to explore new places and I have had many fun and great experiences just setting off on my own to new and different places. I think learning the language is always a key to respecting a new culture so I like to pick up what bit I can of a new language in any place I visit. ;)

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to be the best person I can on a daily basis and to be constantly improving. My favorite quote is by author Jack Kerouac: “The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!”. I think it expresses everything about life & the people we meet. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had one experience with couch surfers in Taiwan when a couple stayed over with a friend who was a couch surfer host. They were so much fun and we had a great time staying up late, cooking, drinking wine, and chatting. :) It's partially because of that experience that I decided to join the community.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love films by Wai Wong. Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean were 2 mainstream film series that I followed avidly as a happy fan. :)
Indie rock, ska, reggae, rock n' roll, anything that makes me happy.
I love too many different varieties of books to choose!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I followed U2 on tour last summer from Pittsburgh to Moncton, Canada. It was the most fun & amazing experience! Road tripping through the beautiful wide open Canada was incredible & waiting in the rain for 10 hours to see my favorite band was a blast :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge on two very different cultures that I have been a part of my whole life: the American one and the Mexican one!
I'd like to take away new cultural knowledge. Learn how to best respect other ways of life and learn about different ways of life as well.
