We moved to a small village next to Kriaunos in 2017. I am originally from Vienna and Karina is a native Lithuanian from the seaside. Most houses in the village that we live in were built in the beginning of the 20th century, ours is from the late fifties and few are newly built. All are out of wood. There are a lot of lakes in the region and the nature is beautiful. We are in the process of renovating our house, so if you are looking for a posh place, this is the wrong adress. But it is very cosy and there is a lot of space. We also have an old (smoke) sauna that needs to be heated by wood. Busses to Vilnius are a 15min walk from us.
