About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore the US. Being from one of the biggest cities in the country I'd love to see what life is like outside New York. What better way to experience that than staying with one of the locals? I'm going to be traveling by rail!
ABOUT ME
I'm a born and raised New Yorker and my family has been in Brooklyn for three generations. All of my close relatives live in New York City except for one who lives in New Jersey and that's about as far as they extend. I'm going to be the one to break out and explore. I was the first person in my family to go to Europe and I want to be the first to visit a state not on the east coast. I'm a very open person who loves to read, listen to music, write, watch movies and listen. If you have a story I want to hear it.
PHILOSOPHY
I just turned 22 and fresh out of college so I'm still developing a personal philosophy. I wholeheartedly believe in treating others as you would want to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm not really sure how much more I can participate besides telling others about couch surfing and giving a first hand experience writing about it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have almost no couch surfing experience but I definitely have couch sleeping experience. Living in a two bedroom apartment in New York City as a kid my brother wanted his own room when he turned 18, the living room became my room at night and I slept on the living room couch for 5 years!
Interests
Reading books(Vonnegut, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Capote), listening to music (Arcade Fire, Jose Gonzalez, The Mamas and The Papas, Rogue Wave and The Who), watching movies (A Clockwork Orange, Once, etc) and Television (too many to count), photography and writing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh man I didn't think they'd have a specific section for this. Um...see two questions above this one.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went paragliding and trout fishing in Austria. I've been in a cave in Switzerland. Went for a gondola ride in Venice. Got lost in the Vatican. Roomed in a hostel room with 3 French guys in London and the only English phrase I heard from one of them was "John Mayer is awesome!"
Teach, Learn, Share
If you ever wanted to know how tall smurfs are, what the singular form of graffiti is or who originally invented Tetris and the crazy patent story behind it, I can tell you all of those random facts. I can also teach you the little bit of photography skills I picked up in school for a semester and some modern art facts, also from a semester at school.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State
Countries I’ve Lived In
United States
