Hi, I'm Kai.

Designed by hippie parents in California. My 'teenage rebellion' was to conform to suburban American social norms--in other words, I was really boring. But fear not, today I'm weird, academic, and new age spiritualish :)

After college, I lived and worked in Shanghai & Beijing for six years as a blogger and product manager for mobile apps. That's also where I discovered a love for technology, exercise, and meditation. I also picked up Chinese along the way. 不骗你，我会说汉语！

I'm currently traveling around the world before starting grad school at the University of Michigan School of Information in Sep. 2015.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reaching the bottom of the Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon with my family. We'd hiked for 12 hours in 105 degree heat on little water. The stunning turquoise pools at Havasupai are a sight and a cool swim that I'll never forget.
