About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Obviously to Travel, learn more about world history by visitng different places and through their perspective, and meet people from different backgrounds and learn from thier cultures and world views.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Miami, FL, to a Cuban mom and Argentine dad. I traveled somewhat in the summer of 2004 when I studied abroad in Spain. I guess due to other interests and financial reasons I stopped traveling, until 2008. Ever since, I've been asking where to next.

I'm planning on taking summers off from my job and using the 3 months to travel as much as possible. I'm debating Europe, South America, or Africa (South Africa up to Tanzania, then fly to Egypt and maybe Israel and Istanbul). If you have any advice that would be great.

I recently moved back with my parents so I can save some money for my summer trip next year. So at the moement I don't have an available couch, but if you want someone to hang out with while you're in Miami and show you around I'm definitely up for it.

PHILOSOPHY

Taking life one year at a time.

Interests

I enjoy doing yoga, skydiving, reading, currently trying to finish up a 2000 piece puzzle lol, hanging with friends and family (from a BBQ, to a pub, at the beach, to a friends apt for some D&D). I enjoy thinking about the next place I would like to visit and doing some research on the different activities there are to do and distinct culture and history of the place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My trip to Cusco, Peru a couple months back. I slept (technically I didn't sleep) in a cave with a Shaman and his family in 30F degree weather with no sleeping bag or any type of sheets except for my jacket and body warmth from the shamans family.Hiked to Machupicchu and Wynapicchu. And Bungee Jumped right after in Cusco from about 122 meters. Memorable Trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

For those of you that have never traveled to South America either because it's not a place you ever thought about or because you've heard of all the kidnappings and violence, I would say it's an amazing continent. In the last 9 months or so I have been to Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Colombia, and Peru. It takes some getting use to at first, but once you do, you realize how wonderful it all is. You may not have the comforts or the same orderly lifestyle with everyone obeying traffic laws and such, but the vibe and the people are genuine and friendly. They strip down life's meaningless obssessions like status and wealth for what matters, like rich family lives and friendhips. I know it's a generlization, but it was my experience at an overall level. The natural beauty is another reason to visit this great region.
