Find out why people still believe in God.
I make my own adventure, anywhere I am.
I am everything that one might predict I am. People fall into obvious stereotypes with so much ease. We're all different and we're all "that guy" or "that girl" I'm totally in love with my girlfriend, Stephanie who lives with me. Meet me and you'll soon label me:
...and the road becomes my bride, I have stripped of all but pride. So in her I do confide and she keeps me satisfied-gives me all I need. And the dust in throat I crave. Only knowledge will I save, to the game to stay a slave. Rover, wanderer, nomad, vagabond-call me what you will, but I'll take my time anywhere. Free to speak my mind anywhere, and I'll redefine anywhere. Where I lay my head is home, carved upon my stone. My body lies but still I roam.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Before my family was on couchsurfing, we housed a blind homeless man in our garage for two years. We later housed two Slovakians in my sister's room for a year untill they found jobs and an apartment.
I have hosted many. During Lollapalooza I've had 8 surfers at once. But usually just a single traveler for one night.
I have been hosted very kindly all during my cross-country bicycle tour, but I don't get out much to be hosted a lot.
~Meeting locals and getting regional flavor is better than expensive hotels with limited human-to-human connections. Recently, I have been hosting, hosting and hosting a lot of travellers as they come to Chicago. I do more hosting than I do surfing, but I will take a trip of my own again soon, I hope.
I know my couchsurfing lineage:
I got into couchsurfing from...
1)Matt Kocek from Elizabeth Kocek
2)Elizabeth Kocek from Aleksstar
3)Aleksstar from Sheila Satin
4)Sheila Satin from "hospitality clubs" found on google in 2004.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have studied a lot of Russian Literature in college classes and I really liked it. We read Tolstoy, Dostoevsky and Gogol. I also like Kafka and Kerouac and Vonnegurt. Of course there are many, many bands and films that I love, but I cannot list them all here. There are also many things that I enjoy that virtually everyone also enjoys, so it would be pointless to list those items here. I love Jarmusch, Gondry, Almodovar, and Kaufman films. I fell in love with brit-pop music when I was 13, and eventually worked my way towards an interest in most forms of of modern rock music. I collected over 500 cds of Alternative, Grunge, Metal and classic rock in the days before file-sharing software.
