ABOUT ME

Upon graduating from UCSD in 1994 with a degree in Molecular Biology, I decided to take a break from my studies. As soon as I am finished with this “break” I just may get back to school. Until that time I plan on continuing to travel to the farthest reaches of our planet and capture the images of culture, adventure, and beauty that make our planet so diverse. My latest method of supporting this addiction comes in the form of industrial rope access, specifically in the exponentially growing field of wind energy. This career gives me the opportunity to practice capturing images from some rarely seen vantage points as well as letting me do my part to help move our civilization towards one of several renewable energy sources.

PHILOSOPHY

In progress... But to start; Have as much fun as possible, meet as many people as I can, and enjoy the diverse world that we live in while respecting all of the above.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new to Couch Surfing as a web site... But I have been enjoying the benefits of the couch-surfing travel style for years! I want to travel to everywhere and host everyone!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I worked with a group called Where There Be Dragons which takes youth groups out into the world on Couch Surfing style trips to exotic locations around the world. I was fortunate enough to lead an amazing group of kids to Sikkim, India and spend a fair amount of time with them in Darjeeling and enjoyed helping them to interface with local teachers and families to have a great educational experience while in India.

Interests

Photography, Paragliding, Sailplanes, Microlights, Aerobatics, Flyfishing, Cooking (well eating really, and cooking is an elemental part of it!) Free Diving, Spearfishing, Taking off on the motorcycle, Reading... and the list goes on
