ABOUT ME

I recently retired and am so excited to finally have time to do a little traveling with my husband Marc as well as enjoy the other things we love to do. My husband and I cleared the land we live on and built the house and barn (a 7-year project). We have two grown children and two amazing grandkids who bring us much joy. I am a learner for life and look forward to sharing our country lifestyle with travelers and meeting hosts as we begin to explore advenures in new places.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in random acts of kindness and that all people have similar basic needs. I love nature and believe there is a heavenly father who loves us all. I love life and try and keep it balanced.

Haven't tried it yet... am a little nervous but hoping to have some positive, memorable experiences.

Interests

In addition to wanting to explore new places, I am also very content being at home and enjoy cooking, gardening, quilting, stained glass, bike riding, skiing, reading, snow shoeing, hiking, camping and I love animals (have 2 dogs) and the country life. We also love exploring remote places on our Yamaha trailbike. We don't have TV but try and stay infomred by reading and listening to NPR and researching different viewpoints. We enjoy a good movie or documentary from Netflix. We are caregivers to our 93 year old mother. Mostly prefer rural enviornment over busy city life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The hiking trails in the mountains of Washington, the canyonlands in Utah, the quaint villages in England and Italy, the San Juan Islands in Washington and the beaches in Hawaii and on St. John in the Virigin Islands.
