About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Fill up my new passport with stamps!
ABOUT ME
I am a bilingual and bicultural American from Germany. I was an army brat (parents were in the U.S. Army) whose parents ended up stationed in Germany for the majority of my childhood. I studied German and Economics in college and graduate school and now teach German in Chicago for a living.
I travel as often as possible (usually once a year for a month). I like to meet new people, get to know new places, learn new cultures, and experience life from a different perspective as often as possible.
I will try anything once (usually more) and am pretty adventurous.
PHILOSOPHY
Do not judge something you don't understand. Try a day in someone's shoes before drawing conclusions.
Interests
Travel, languages and cultures, learning, cooking, and swing dancing, to name a few. New perspectives, experiences, places, and friends. Politics. Beer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the sunrise from the top of Sněžka (mountain between Czech Rep. and Poland) after a four-hour hike. Watching the sunrise from the top of Haleakalā in Maui (Hawaii). Watching the sunrise from the hills over Heidelberg in Germany (my hometown). Spot a theme?
