ABOUT ME

Kristen is a suburban girl with a love for writing and the arts. She is a graduate student in journalism at Roosevelt University in Chicago, hoping to write for a lifestyle magazine in the future. She spent the first half of 2008 living in Madrid teaching English and galavanting around the city and the rest of Spain.

Dan is a city guy whose one true love, aside from God and Kristen, is FOOD. He works for Kraft Foods doing research and development for the pizza sector. He loves all sports and live music.

We were recently engaged and are hoping to get married sometime in 2010! We are family people -- and although Chicago winters are tough, home truly is where the heart is.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, we are definitely interested in meeting up with people from all over. Those who need some pointers on what to see in Chicago should definitely give us a call. Since we don't yet have our own place, our couch is not available, but it will be soon enough.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Kristen crashed on a few couches while in Spain, mostly of friends or acquaintances, but it was a great way to escape a crazy landlord or save a few bucks on a hostel.
Friends of ours used couchsurfing to visit Sevilla and Turkey.

Interests

We are interested in great and unique dining experiences, seeing the beauty of God's creation, drinking wine, cooking, watching local musicians, having good conversations.

Raw Food is life giving. Ask us about it, we are newly dabbling in the raw vegan lifestyle.
