ABOUT ME

Right now I am teaching german at the university in Ústí nad Labem/CZ and I live in Czech Republic since four years. Although I like preparing classes and teaching, I cannot imagine to this my whole life. By the way my idea of what work is changed a lot within the last years and I dream of societies with another, wider definition of work. One good start would be a basic income for everybody.
Besides I have a blog (www.ecoleusti.wordpress.com) mainly concerning the topic of antiziganism, with which we´re often confrontated in CZ (although it is present in a lot of other countries, too).

Intereses

I love learning new languages. And the thing I like most are new beginnings, when you´re new at a place and don´t know anything about it and then just go, where your feet lead you and discover the place, the atmosphere and get in touch with people...

Besides I have read a lot of books from Hesse in schooltime and one of my favorite writers is Remarque. I really enjoy reading so called belletristic books, but thematical/theoretical books unfortunately always give me a hard time.
I like to be on festivals but not this kind, where everybody is trying to get drunk as fast as possible.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Hard to say, but I remember a beautiful and unforgetable moment in Ecuador, where I was with some friends. We were in a tiny little village at the coast in some wooden house, right in front of us the sea. And in the night, there was something special: Imagine a really dark night under the southern hemisphere. There are no artificial lights and it´s still warm outside, so you decide to go swiming to the ocean. Going into the water, the plankton is glowing with every step you make...
