HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New to couch surfing, but hoping to both surf and host in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None at all, quite yet. Hoping to change that this summer and beyond, though!

兴趣

Traveling and seeing places relatively unseen, reading as much as I can, learning and working in the Middle East, researching refugees, exploring new foods, places and things, and accumulating a treasure trove of fun facts, Lonely Planet-based or otherwise.

Literary heros: Salman Rushdie, David Foster Wallace and Tolstoy. Alice in Wonderland for inspiration.

Movies: Princess Bride, Men in Black, Across the Universe and anything animated.

1. The never-ending multitudes of shooting stars in Wadi Rum, Jordan.

2. Watching the light change in the stain-glass windows of San Chapelle in Paris.

3. Experiencing the festival in Interlaken, Switzerland when half the town dresses up like trolls and the other half watches the trolls parade, jokingly pillage and ring bills the size of a small cow.
