About Me

To travel the world, one aria at a time.

I'm a young, energetic, light-hearted, and optimistic opera singer. I'm actually planning on spending this year traveling a bit in the US to visit some schools. I graduated with my bachelor in music in 2010 and have been working and singing since, deciding to take a bit of a reprieve from school. Well, I'm finally ready to take a gander at grad schools.

I've lived in Miami my whole life and have recently realized that it most definitely isn't the city for me. Love the weather and I love the culture, but can I picture myself living here for the rest of my life? Not quite.

While some of my friends may disagree, I'd like to think of myself as very easy going. I enjoy just being and am glad to do anything that involves not being cooped up all day.

As cliche as it sounds, I firmly believe in karma. I try to treat all with kindness because you never know how or when you'll be repaid and/ or reprimanded by the universe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Actually, I've never couch surfed before, so I'm a newbie. I have many friends who have both coach-surfed and hosted and I've yet to hear anything negative about any of their experiences.

Thrilled to be able to take part in a city from the perspective of a local.

Opera, music, literature, beer, films, politics (sometimes), the beach, yoga, exploring, traveling, Judaism (currently starting the conversion process), food (attempting to teach myself to cook. Right now, my culinary prowess ends at making oatmeal).

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Movie: The Color Purple

Favorite Music: My favorite artist a toss up between Renee Fleming and Audra McDonald. I don't have a specific favorite genre. I listen to a lot of opera, of course, but I'm open to most genres- folk, musical theatre, r & b, some jazz.

Favorite Book: Hands down- Atlas Shrugged

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try to make amazing moments out of everything I do in life!

That's also code for saying- I can't say I've done many things that are incredibly amazing....yet.
