I call Istanbul home but currently reside in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. I study Middle Eastern history and literature along with theatre arts at Brown University.
Any form of art -especially theatre and literature; but also new music and engaging cinema- beguiles me. Pitch me a movie or a book and if I haven't seen or read it, I will always want to, if I have already seen or read it, I will always be willing to discuss it. Also, I am endlessly curious about different peoples, cultures, outlooks and ways of life—tell me what you've seen and what you believe in and I will share what I have to offer. I am always happy to sit down to ponder on the deeper questions or just go out and do something ridiculously foolish. And all this talk aside, if you also appreciate fine wine or a good mug of ice cold beer, we'll get along just fine.
Algo increíble que he hecho
Watching the sun rise at the summit of Mount Nemrut in Eastern Anatolia on a two thousand year old terrace littered with giant statues of Ancient Greek gods.
Living in and discovering many different parts of Istanbul, a massive city of over fifteen million residents, over five years and in the process learning about a history and culture that goes almost as far back as time itself.
Backpacking on a whim through Milan, Venice, Bologna, Pisa, Florence and Rome in less than ten days, a nearly non-existent budget and a semi-valid passport.
Wandering around the avenues and streets of New York City and seeing Hotel Chelsea, the place where Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Janis Joplin, Charles Bukowski, Arthur Miller and Dylan Thomas all lived (and, in the case of Dylan Thomas, died.)
