Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now i'm looking for couches!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Pretty new to this (as you can see from my upside down photos). I met some great aussie vegans in Borneo who have opened up the couch surfing window of opportunity and brought about my favourite of all feelings, the 'why not'. Gotta love stuff like that.

Interests

My favourite topics of conversation are probably science and nature (as im a self confessed geek). Learning anything new really gets me going, and particularly things about new cultures or perspectives.

Music, Movies, and Books

Akala (uk music artist), Fela Kuti (afrobeat), reggae, intelligent hip hop (however rare it may be), dimitri from paris, blue note, madlib, drum and bass

Moby Dick, rich dad poor dad, Life of Pi, The Art of War, 4 hour work week

Ricky Gervais (pretty much anything he produces, particularly The Office), Dave Chappelle, Eddie Murphy (pre 1990).

Jurassic Park, Momento, Waking Life.....too many to mention, oh and Pulp Fiction, and Goodfellas, obviously

Teach, Learn, Share

Okay, fact of the day: did you know that bees give each other directions to flowers bearing nectar by doing what is known as a 'waggle dance'? They return to the hive and stand in front of the other bees directing them to the food source with a series of turns and waggles, each indicating a distance and direction.

Plenty more where that came from, not all geeky science ;)
