Hello!

My name is Kyle Kling, friends call me Klinger.

I was born and raised in a town of 7000 people in Minnesota, USA. My family, friends and neighbors never traveled much. Growing up around farm fields your whole life is not too exciting.

Lived the traditional style of life, went to college, got a job... I realized I hated it.

One day I decided to drop everything and run away to follow my passion. I started working on my dreams, moved around the US and traveled the world.

I've been a part of flash mob proposals downtown San Francisco, bubble soccer leagues held in large stadiums, participated in casting roles for James Franco's works, I've spoke at conferences around the world, picked up kickboxing and meditation as new habits; I've built portable beer dispensers, political mobile apps, a consulting firm, and now I'm working on a fashion company.

I'm quirky, crazy, fun, love to drink, love chaos, being spontaneous, maybe a little too straightforward at times, and I love meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet real people in real communities.

I want to get to know locals, eat at mom & pop shops, visit the nearby non touristy mall, discover the hidden gems located throughout the city, and relive that small town generosity that I grew up with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First time I've ever swam in the ocean was in Newport Beach, southern California.

Within the first 15 minutes I saw a shark swim only a few meters away from me.

Scariest moment of my life. Turned out it was a Dolphin.

Not really amazing, but what came off the top of my head.
