About Me

To learn about people all over the world. Learning their languages, cultures, life styles, and how people lives in the world... After cultural experience, I'm going to break my limited scope isolated in Asia.

Hi, my name is Kyung-ran Bang from South Korea.
I'm passionate, and fun-loving. I love reading books and meeting people.
The reason of my travel in Denmark is written below. :)
Let's suppose the lifespan of people is eighty.
Compare people's lifespan to 24 hour clock.
Then.. what's the time of my life?
24 hours is calculated in 1,440 minutes, and if it divided by 80, it is 18 minutes of a year.
If I were 20-year-old man, my life time is 6 o'clock a.m.
If I were 60-year-old man, my life time is 6 o'clock p.m. The time of getting off the work, and have a rest in sweet home.
I am 27 next year, so I'm in 8:06 am.
I want to spend my morning time worthily with good people in Denmark.

We're here to put a dent in the universe. - Steve Jobs (He was famous as the CEO of Apple company)
I love this saying. We live in the wide world of earth, and come and go with empty-handed.
I want to leave something goodness in the world before I go back to heaven.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I found Couchsurfing organization through the blogs of people traveled in the world.
Couchsurfing is not well known, so I'll spread this good organization after I experience it.

I haven't been experienced yet, but I really want to do.

1. I love taking for a walk in the park and street by listening to music. Especially K-pop, hiphop, dance music, and classics which makes me wash way the fatigue of the day.
2. I love reading books which encourages me of advice.
3. I love cooking. I can make Korean Sushi, and pizza. Cooking makes me fun.
4. I love mountain climbing. I love stones, forests, and valleys. I feel born again when I take a breath in fresh air.
5. I love watching television too. Watching TV and ads in overseas, that's the one of favourite.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favouite movie is "slumdog millionaire" and "White Chicks" but I don't like horrors which makes me startled.
Music - "Jet - Will you be my girl" "Bon Jovi - All about lovin you" "Jason Mraz - Lucky, I'm yours"
Book - "1984" "The Handmaid's Tale" "All the works of Jane Austen" I majored in English Literature in college so I love novels from England and US.
But I still don't know about Shakespeare's works, that's really hard for me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a site supervisor when I was in Korea. People think, especially in Asia, women cannot do work in construction site. I was working for 3 years after graduate college, I worked company in the field of broadcasting. Major business of the company is to make broadcast stations. For example, making broadcast systems kinds of CNN and BBC. Those business were so hard that usually men think women can't do.
One day my boss ordered me to work in the construction site even that was not my business!! But you know, social life cannot be controlled, he was the boss and I'm just weak employee. I was afraid to do at first but I finally did it for 4 months. People in construction site are strong and inflexible. As time goes by I am doing better and better with those people and learned the way of how women leader orders to men. In addition, I have worked with STV people in Denmark to transmit Aarhus Festival in 2012. Korean performers played in theatre in Korea for Aarhus Festival and my company transmit the show to Denmark STV. I was worked as a English speaking coordinator who delivers orders of Korean and Danish directors.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Korean to you. I'm one of fluent speaker in Korean. I can teach how to make Korean food and how we live in Korean. Something like cultures.
I want to learn all about things in Denmark, any cultures, any food, and any fun things.. except for bad habits you know.
We can share cultures of each other in Denmark and South Korea. Northern Europe and Northeast Asia. Sounds fun, isn't it?
