I'm a good, hard woman — neither "dangerous" nor "nice."
I'm an intense person who spends most of her time in philosophical contemplation. My happiest times are spent in mindful solitude (with a notebook and ballpoint pen in hand), and on conversational strolls (with like-minded companions who interrupt themselves to point out curious and beautiful things). And upon storybook adventures worthy of a self-aware protagonist, naturally.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've moved and traveled so much that I never developed a solid sense of "home." What I've developed instead are relationships with places, similar to relationships with people — some deep and enduring, others that represent a particular time in my life, yet others whom I don't see often, but when we meet again, we pick up right where we left off.
Though I always want to develop new place-relationships, I'm truly invested in cultivating those that mean the most to me: Estonia, Germany, and Indonesia. It isn't enough to keep up on the language and what's going on in culture and politics; it's people who actively connect you to a place.
Couchsurfing events have introduced me to some of the most interesting individuals I know around the world, so here's hoping for opportunity to forge some new friendships in Germany before I depart for Estonia on June 28!
