ABOUT ME

My name is Laurence, I'm 18 and have lived in North London all my life. While I've done well academically I believe that life experience, diversity and social skills are far more important than academic success. This is why I've decided not to go straight on to university but instead spend a year living a nomadic lifestyle, firstly doing work with different charities all over the UK and then backpacking through Asia for 6-9 months. I'm certainly easy-going and I always try to empathise with everyone but I'm passionate about my own veiws and will defend them to the end. Not much else I feel like saying, you'll just have to wait till I crash on your couch.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd describe myself as a Pantheist, I believee that God is everything and everything is God. As I believe that all living things share a universal soul and are therfore inherently connected, I do not follow any organised religion but instead try to lead my life in accordance with my own sense of morality.

Interests

Travelling, film, music, people, new places, people with unusual problems, dancing without caring, glowsticks, food, drink, hemp products, freedom of expression and tolerance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Witnessed the most astounding selflessness when, during my time as a Charity Fundraiser, I saw an 18 year old mother, livng with her own mother in a council house that was falling apart, give £6 of her benefits every month to the charity Shelter because she wanted to help other mothers like her.
