About Me

To know my home before I know others

Honest, down-to-earth person who doesn't feel as though she always needs to smile and laugh to be comfortable.
Low-maintenance who enjoys life and doesn't mind taking the mick or vice versa, I don't take myself too seriously.

One of those people who makes friends for life.

Ask me in 10 years time :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I acknowledge spiritualism, meditation, yoga, naturalist living, giving back to the Earth more than taking from it, sharing and giving positive energy.

But still a kiwi chic at heart and if you're interested in relaxing at a rugby or cricket game we'll get on like a house on fire :)Enjoy seeing what makes other people happy and joining if there's a spare seat.

Tell me about your day, what made you happy what made you sad what made you angry what frightened you shocked you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Predictably irrational; Freakonomics; and Superfreakonomics; Emotional Awareness - the Dalai Lama.

Movies, hurrummph... yeah, okay, LOTR. Ed; zeitgeist movement; the (Candadian?) movie done in strange digital imaging...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmmmmm does getting my ears pierced count?? Oh, okay.

First was in 2010 I was a part of a youth training facility at a military camp. I lived, breathed and ate the Army and in return was awarded the Most Improved Trainee for that intake.
Also that same year I experienced mine, and my parents and granparents, first major natural disaster, the September 2010 Christchurch earthquake, and its numerous aftershocks. Being woken at 4-something in the morning to thunderous noise and shaking, one can only think it is a military invasion. No power, no water, no sewerage, for days on end some may never have to endure. Dealing with the aftermath of devastation is the worst of all.

This year I went blind in one eye after developing optic neuritis. Nobody knows why, it just kinda happened, just one of those things I guess, casually going blind.
