About Me

After working on cruise ships i'm giving land life a go...but still with travel involved! Arrived in Australia this year...excited for what's next, the adventure, new people, and new chapter! Lets see what happens ! :)

I've left this box till last! ha! guess I cant leave it blank! umm I'm a friendly people person.
I moved around a bit with my Dads work growing up...so change and travel started at an early age before Plymouth-UK became home. I left to join cruise ships as a photographer and had an amazing time working n playing hard while travelling around the world, I made lifelong friends..Leaving was hard but its time for something new and so Im lucky to be giving Australia a go now...just starting out and am completely openminded to what the next two years might bring.
I aspire to teaming my passion for photography and diving together so looking to gain skills in underwater photography/filming in the near future.
A little nervous about going it alone here in oz, as there's only so much of my own company I can take and I leave behind in uk amazing friends and family I wish I could pick up and bring with me ! But looking forward to meeting new friends at the same time.

A free spirit at heart who dreams of one day having a home in the sunshine with a sea view and place to hang a hammock and all the little treasures i've collected from around the world!

You live once so no regrets! ....When my times up I doubt i'll be like " i really wish i bought that bigger house/new car/ chased that promotion harder" etc etc all that materialistic stuff...I imagine I'll want to know I've done my best to make the most of my time on earth!
I saw a quote the other day which is kinda apt for me right now " We cannot discover new oceans unless we have the courage to lose sight of the shore...." i like that :)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I'm a little nomad and homeless as I'm travelling at the moment so can't offer a coach... initially will be giving surfing a go, hope to meet new people make new friends, set up road trips- who knows! Having had a good experience with the site i'll host in the future when I can.

A newbie to the site and concept, lets see how i get on...looks a great idea - have had a quick browse around and am excited about all the potential people I can connect with on my new journey - exciting! :)

I love to travel! surprise surprise ;) I think i'm in the right place! I like to see different cultures and sights with my own eyes, and have different experiences...on occasions when I do get out of my comfort zone I try to see it positively regardless of whether I'd chose to do it again! I'm doing something new, I'm alive & trying new things so making the most of my life! Photography/Art/Design/Music-love going to gigs and festivals/LOVE scuba diving/Friends&family are always close to my heart/Running/Exercise-keeping fit n healthy/Being outdoors/LOVE the beach- LOVE the sea-photographing it, sailing it, being in it, under it and want to learn to surf it! / Eating out -enjoying dishes from around the world/Drinking wine/ Partying and going a little crazy from time to time! ha!/ Meeting new people Im definitely a people person :)

Music, Movies & Books

My taste in music and movies seems sooo varied, and I can quite often enjoy something I didn't think I would. Probably like sci-fi's the least. Music wise you won't find opera or classical on my ipod, I like indie, dance, electronica, reggae, pop, folk, all sorts- i'm not a music buff on genres- chances are i'll like it!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I feel very lucky to have seen parts of Antarctica -Sailing through the Antarctic Sound and photographing the passing icebergs was breathtaking and unforgettable- a highlight of my life so far.
