surviving what i just noticed i have become: an adult.
I'm a quarter of a century old and I have been lucky enough to have a kick ass time in those 25 years. I just got back from serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Lesotho, and now I'm learning what it's like to live with indoor plumbing. Weeee!
I believe strongly in hard work and the idea that people are a good investment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I, uh... have a couch?
In Lesotho I helped my buddy Nichol host several volunteers as they traveled through southern Africa. They were all really awesome people who were up for doing anything we could come up with.
Writing, reading, Africa, history, traveling, helping people especially in order to "level the playing field," politics, things that are funny (and I'm not really that picky), nature(especially trees, bacteria, evolution and eco-systems), recycling, pens.

When you take the train from Zambia to Tanzania, don't exchange money on the train. Make sure you have the cash, in USD for the visa (it was $40 two years ago) so you don't have to deal with the crooks on the train. And when you have delays, anywhere, like a bus breaks down or something, use the time to meet other people on the bus or ask the bus conductors about the local customs, games, folk lore, etc.
