About Me
This is me, Alexandra!

*ABOUT ME*
Full of energy, extremely random and adventurous. What you first notice is either the big smile, the big hair, or the sometimes-thick Latin accent. You never know with me! I'm like a chameleon, in the sense that my personality and interests change depending on the environment (or sometimes simple whim). I could talk about politics and current status of the world; while I could ramble endlessly about how much I love the Spice Girls (though I try not to the latter often). I don't fit a particular group or cliché, as I'm very much a mix of everything. I guess I can't even describe myself effectively so you'll have to get to know me. There are only 2 certainties: You will always find a wildly-open mind and a very big heart!
PHILOSOPHY
A wildly-open mind, an adventurous soul, a free spirit, and, ABOVE ALL THINGS, GOD AND LOVING OTHERS LIKE I LOVE MYSELF
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Planning to become a full-time digital nomad eventually, so I would like to meet individuals from all over the world. When I hit the road again, I want to be able to get around without minding luxuries and just focusing on unforgettable experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met some amazing people during my year in Cairo, Egypt and month road tripping/hitchhiking around Israel and Jordan. From Bedouin hospitality to very interesting expats--was great. Can't put it into words! Just that I thank CS for connecting me to these people and some unforgettable experiences =)

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh geez, this is too long. I shall summarize in end-of-times and catastrophic-events books AND movies. Same goes with romantic comedies (I'm a sucker for chick flicks, I am). Also, I'll like an action movie if it's (at least slightly) unpredictable. Say, for instance, I LOVED The Dark Knight and James Bond's "Casino Royale" and the old action film by Arnold: "True Lies" Oh and I can't forget BOURNE!! Gotta love movies about conspiracies & the government...uuuuuu (the "occult" is always interesting, no?)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
create your own visited country map
or check our Venice travel guide
* Leave the Caribbean and throw myself to the world. No questions asked. Just did it. By myself. NO EXCUSES! I believe you can find new families everywhere you go
* Scuba dive one of the top wrecks in the world - The Thistlegorm - after only like 10 dives! I had just gotten my advanced cert, was scared to death that I would do something wrong...but nope, I survived! Whoa man...hearing the eerie sound of the wreck under the sea while schools of fish swam all around me...then looking up and seeing the sun 30 m above me...NOTHING compares in this world! Ok, maybe some intense salsa dancing...u know, with tons of spins and lifts
* Hitchhiking in the north of Israel for about a week. And roadtrippin' by myself all over the country for an 2 additional weeks. And couchsurfing all 3 weeks. Absolutely priceless!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm learning Bahasa Indonesia and Arabic at the moment, so attempting to become fluent!
Also, I would love to learn how to cook authentic meals from all over the world--specially the ones that take HOURS to prepare. If you could teach me, let me knowww!! =D I already figured out how to cook savory lentil soup with an Egyptian twist from scratch, so I could walk you through it while having a strict Spanish-or Arabic-only conversation in the process ;)
