COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience with CS has been great!

My first CS experience was in New York City. I stayed for two nights with a member of the CS community (it was beyond my expectations, had a whole room and a sofabed), during the day another couch surfer hosted me around the city, then for the next two nights I stayed with a a gay "Hispanic" couple in Brooklyn I found on OKcupid. They were very skeptical of me, but I guess I seemed harmless enough that they accepted me. Although when I woke up early to go to use the bathroom, their eyes were on me.

who has time for books (what luxuries). movies: random ones (Dinner with Melvin, Mambo Italiano, Forrest Gump, American Splendor, Then She Found Me). shows: comedy (currently netflixing Roseanne and 3rd Rock from the Sun). Music: Gaga, DeathCab, The Killers, World (Cambodian-Dengue Fever, Mongolian-Hanggai), Vietnamese (traditional, experimental,pop), anything with soul/character/goodbeats

i think these things i've done are cool, in the sense that they evoked something very visceral in me:
-swam in Ha Long Bay in the rain (VN)
-flew a kite in Da Lat (also rained) (VN)
-wore a traditional vietnamese dress while sight seeing in Korea
-couchsurfing itself
